The following characters have been played in the game for quite some time and garnered a life of their own. Due to the request of the players, these characters have been retired, instead of dropped. They can not be picked up at any time for any reason, and this is non-negotiable.

All requests for retiring characters must be approved via the mods.

Any fandoms NOT listed above must be approved by the mods before applying. There will be no exceptions with the banned fandoms that we have listed and the list is subject to change at any point in time. Please be sure to look this over before holding or applying for any character.

Would Sports Night be an acceptable fandom? I've always been interested in exploring Dan Rydell and his myriad of psychological issues, but I recognise that the vast majority of patients are drawn from fairy tales, myths, fantasies and so on. Just thought I'd ask!

Really, I don't see why not. At Cheshire we really enjoy having characters from odd or unlikely fandoms. Most of mine are, actually. XD So go for it, and obviously it's just contingent on your app.

Ooh, you tempt me! I won't bother you for a hold, since I'm still thinking it over - and given how obscure the fandom, is I doubt Danny's likely to be snatched up any time soon. ;] But thanks for your help!

I know how that is. Three of my four characters are from such obscure fandoms that I never bothered holding them, and the forth is from a broad mythos but is barely known even among scholars of that pantheon. XD So...yes.

But seriously, we love our obscure fandoms here at Cheshire, so if you decided to bring him in, he'd be welcome. :]

I checked it out a little and I'm not sure that the fandom would work for Cheshire. If you would like to app anyway, I will consider it, but overall, I don't really see it...jiving.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you on this. I don't know the exact reasoning. The previous mods made the list of banned fandoms based on characters and stories that simply didn't work in this setting.

Hey, would TV's crime/action/drama series Criminal Minds be acceptable? Considering they're profilers of the insane, I think some of the characters would make pretty sweet psychologists. :)
