Please be sure to check the taken and held list, as well as the wanted list, before applying. While a hold does not mean that the person will automatically get the part, you will be forced to wait until said person hands in their application. If you see a hold, and you are not answered right away, this is why. Please be patient, we have to be fair. If you apply for someone already on the taken list, don't be surprised when we say we didn't bother to read your application.
Make sure you've requested access to all the communities. They are as follows:
ccrpg - The main community. This is where your character will make their introduction. Please have it written up and posted with in three days of being accepted, or we will remove you. Also, notes passes back and forth between patients, doctor's emails, and anything left on the bulletin board will be posted here.
spindlesend - The thread and log community. Self-explanatory really, but for those of you who may not know what these terms mean, this is where all role plays will go. Threads must be marked in someway (we suggest putting the name [LIKE SO] in the subject line) to show whom they are directed to. Logs must have a rating and summary and placed behind an lj-cut. If you do not know how to do one, you may learn so here.
wondersland - The out of character community. Basically anything that you want to post that has nothing to do with your character goes in here. This is where all announcements of adds will be placed, as well as removals. Please try not to spam it.
preeverafter - The history community. Want to write about what your character was like before they came here? Or did they know someone who was already in the community and you want to write you the relationship they had before being thrown into Cheshire Crossings? All those sorts of logs and threads are placed here.
Be sure you have the mod's journal friended if you are supplying a first person example in your journal instead of a compilation one. Also have at least ONE ICON uploaded.
Your first person example MUST be for the character you are applying with. We can not accept other characters or examples written for other games. We need to know your character's voice, specific to Cheshire.
A note regarding staff: Any and all staff of Cheshire Crossings will be subjected to an extensive and all-inclusive background and drug check. If your staff member has any legal record of misbehavior, they will be handled on a case-by-case basis but more than likely they will not be accepted. (If, however, they misbehaved and never got caught...well, that's another story altogether.) If you are apping a doctor, please be prepared to do some research regarding the methods that your doctor uses and the disorders that they specialize in. Sessions and techniques should not be unrealistic.
