hmm, I think I need to reword that. it's not that they think they are characters....it's kind of hard to explain. let me give you an example.

Alice Liddel (Alice in Wonderland) would be a normal, ordinary person, like you or me, but (and this is just one scenario for examples sake) she suffered some terrible trauma in her childhood that broke her brain and made her create "wonderland", an imaginary place where she could escape to when the trauma was occurring. So she walks around thinking that there is this place, wonderland, with Cheshire Cats and Mad Hatters, that she has gone to, when really it's all just a part of post-traumatic stress or delusional disorder.

For gameplay-sake, none of the characters have any concept of what they are from. Characters from Scrubs or Heroes wouldn't have seen themselves on TV becuase in Cheshire verse those shows wouldn't exist.

Am I making any sense? XD Feel free to IM me at playingLcynical if you have any other questions.

First person examples MUST be in character, but your thirds can be anyone! :]

No worries, that's a good question, and I should address it to the comm at large. Journals are technically private unless otherwise specified. A patient's doctor can always reply in their journal, but no one else can unless you add a note that says something to the effect of, [Johnny left his journal in the common room, feel free to reply!].

Personally, I like to always add a note saying when entries are private just to avoid confusion. But I will address this tomorrow.

Thanks, great question! Let me know if there's anything I didn't clear up.

Strange question, but is the Meta-Crisis Doctor open for applications?

Hmm. I read the wiki and I think I will have to say no on this one. The two are just too similar. It would be like allowing Kingdom Heart variations of Final Fantasy characters, you know? But I'll be glad to place another hold, should you want a different character.

Question for you! I'm looking to apply for Robin Hood but I wanted to know if I had to pick just one specific series/book/movie/et cetera as the sole characterization basis or if I could just mash it all together and pick and choose?

I think a mashup would be fine, so long as it's done in such a way that the character's history and personality are cohesive!

Dear modly ones,

I dunno where to put this, but Harleen needs to be added to the tags list.

Will do.

Also, I'm glad that you commented here, I needed to ask if you were planning to keep Elizabeth and Wendy. They are both on warnings. I will be glad to give you time to update if you need it!

Dear mighty modly ones!

I have a quick question regarding the grounds- given that Faith is a fairly active person, is there any gym/fitness equipment she can use (under supervision from an orderly). Or alternatively, could the courtyard be used for some exercises?

Thank you!

Sorry, my notifs have been unreliable. :[

Cheshire DOES have a gym, Jessica Rabbit made a post about it in the ooc comm recently.

Sorry about the wait, IJ notifs are being a real pain.

I've found wikipedia to be very helpful with finding disorders. This page has a listing of medically recognized mental health disorders. If you still have questions, don't hesitate to contact either one of the mods!

I hope that was helpful!

Hey guys, just a quick question (and if I missed this somewhere just let me know and I'll check again) but as far as doctors go, do you prefer we bring them in at their most recent point in canon or is it just up to us?

I'm trying to weave him over from the setting of the show, it's easy in some aspects since he's a neurosurgeon there but as far as his personal life goes, it can be tricky, so I just wanted to check with you.

That is totally and completely up to you. Many characters (even from the same fandoms) have been pulled from their canon at different times. Dr. Cox was pulled out of the SCRUBS fandom after season 3, while JD was pulled from season 8. The decision of when and where to pull a character from canon is up to you, as long as you can make it work and fit into the game logically.

Hi! Wasn't sure where to post this (apologies if it's the wrong place) so here goes:

- I believe Daniel needs tags, please.

- Seeing as the setting is a psychiatric hospital, would Dan's trademark skinny black ties have been confiscated during check in? Was thinking yes, but wasn't sure if real life psych ward rules were sorta bendy in the game.
Yes I know it's an odd question, but Daniel <3's his ties! ;)

That's all right! And yes, these are exactly the types of questions to go down on this thread!

- Daniel has tags, I added them myself. He is listed under "Daniel Faraday" in the communities: [info]spindlesend, [info]ccrpg, and [info]preeverafter.

- The other half of your question, I am not too positive. I will have to ask Elizabeth! I'll get back to you on that one!

Elizabeth here! No, he would not be allowed to have his skinny black ties. Even though he is not a risk, necessarily, if a dangerous patient got ahold of them, it could be an issue. This would fall under the clothing rules on the IC Rule list.

Sorry Daniel. :[

Let us know if you have any more questions!!!
